ACCOMMODATIONS

Sandy Cheeks is equipped for normal housekeeping including a coffee maker, blender and toaster with the basic kitchen equipment. All beds will have mattress pads, bedspreads, blankets and pillows. Sandy Cheeks has central air/heat, dishwasher, washer/dryer, a television with cable, telephone, VCR, stereo, grill, outside shower, deck furniture, and a microwave. SANDY CHEEKS DOES NOT SUPPLY LINENS OR TOWELS. ALL RENTERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING ALL THEIR OWN TOWELS, LINENS, TOILETRIES AND PAPER PRODUCTS.  If you forget your linens, towels or other personal items there are several places where you can rent them for the week or purchase.  PLEASE DO NOT USE THE BEDS WITHOUT LINENS. This is a health hazard. Be respectful of others who will be staying after you.  All comforters, mattress pads, pillow protectors and blankets are washable and in most cases should be air dryed on the outside clothesline provided. Please respect our owners locked closets in the unit. This is not included in your rental.

Due to health department regulations, occupancy on homes served by septic systems is limited to two persons per bedroom, unless otherwise stated. We've listed the bedding arrangements in each description only to accommodate flexible sleeping arrangements, not to represent occupancy. For your protection Sandy Cheeks is equipped with smoke detectors. Our inspectors check smoke detector batteries on a routine basis, however, it is renter's responsibility to check the smoke detector(s) upon arrival and to advise us immediately if the smoke detector(s) is not working properly.

Please confirm all information at the time your reservation is made. We will not be held responsible for possible rate or printing errors.

FAMILY GROUPS ONLY

It is our policy to rent only to family groups. We lease without respect to the race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap or familial status of any party. A family group is defined as parents, grandparents, children and extended family members vacationing in one home. A non-family group is defined as: unmarried young adults, high school students, college students or any other group-type situation. Should we discover a non-family group, the group is subject to immediate eviction with NO REFUNDS. No fraternities, school or civic groups allowed. Absolutely no house parties allowed. IDs must be furnished if requested. Violation of the above is grounds for immediate eviction. NO REFUNDS.

CHECK IN

Your vacation home will be ready after 2pm on the beginning date of your reservation unless an early check-in has been pre-arranged with us.  We need to allow sufficient time to prepare the property for your use, and ask that you honor the check in time. Prior to your reserved week, you will receive 2 sets of keys and directions to Sandy Cheeks. This property should be cared for as your own.

PETS

Pets are not allowed. PETS FOUND ON PROPERTY IS GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE EVICTION.

PHONES

A telephone is provided. Local calls may be made without limit within the area you are staying. There is a charge for calling directory assistance. Please note, long distance calls are blocked.

HOT TUB/SPA

A hot tub is provided. Malfunction of the hot tub is not grounds for refund. The hot tub is cleaned prior to your arrival with another cleaning and chemical check done during the week. Use of the hot tub is at your own risk. DO NOT SIT/STAND OR PLACE HEAVY OBJECTS ON THE HOT TUB COVER.  The cover will be monitored for damages and abuse.

GRILLING

By Kitty Hawk Fire Department Code; Grilling is not permitted except on concrete surfaces. Do not attempt to use outdoor grills on decks, porches or near wooded areas. Please be sure you clean the grill and empty the ashes before you leave so the next guest finds it ready for use.

TELEVISIONS/VCRS/PSII

Sandy Cheeks offers television, DVD, PlayStation2 and CD Player/Stereo. We make no guarantee for this equipment and no rebates will be given for malfunctions for any of this equipment. Cable TV connections are not guaranteed and may sporadically go out of service.

DAMAGES

We ask our guests to report any breakage or damages to us upon occurrence and settle the matter before leaving. If there is any damage to the Sandy Cheeks Beach House, the lessee does agree to be responsible for any damages done by himself, his family, guests or pets. The beach house is checked between guests carefully by our cleaning crew for breakage or damage. Items such as beer kegs, stereo speakers, fireworks, smoking in a non-smoking unit or three wheel vehicles on the property are considered a violation of our lease agreement. Infraction of this rule is grounds for immediate eviction. Tenants are not permitted to move furniture within the unit. Recreation vehicles are not allowed to connect to utilities on the property, nor may the maximum number for the property be exceeded when a recreational vehicle parks at the unit. Absolutely no fireworks allowed on property.

CHECK OUTS

Sandy Cheeks must be vacated by 11:00 a.m. on check-out day. NO EXCEPTIONS. We ask that this policy be recognized by all tenants. Before you leave be sure you take trash out, wash dishes, empty the refrigerator and wipe clean, leave the AC on 78 degrees (or heat at 55 in winter months), lock all windows and doors and leave the unit clean and in good shape for our next guest. Mail your keys in the pre-paid envelope provided to you in your welcome packet at Kitty Hawk post office located as you exit town. Our cleaning crews will check to be sure all is in good order, clean and damage-free after your departure. We ask that all of our guests be attentive to our cleaning policy. If during an inspection of the accommodation it is found to be in excessively unclean condition, or any of the above conditions are not met, an additional charge not to exceed $75.00 may be incurred.

Be certain to double check for any items left in the unit. We are not responsible for items left behind. Have a safe trip home!

BEACH NOURISHMENT

Some oceanfront areas of the Outer Banks will be a part of a beach nourishment project. You may experience some inconvenience during this project. No refunds will be given.

HURRICANES

In the event of an ordered evacuation due to hurricanes or other storms, you are required by state law to evacuate the property. Should the evacuation occur within the first two days of your stay a 75% refund will be given.
